Central VBS holds meeting with Western provincial VBS Committees

On April 22, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Southern Central Office in collaboration with the VBS Executive Committee from 5 provinces of An Giang, Kien Giang, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh held a meeting at Quang Duc monastery in Ho Chi Minh city.

The meeting was chaired by Most Venerable Thích Thiện Tánh, Vice President of the VBS Executive Council cum Chairman of Inspection Committee and attended by Most Venerable Thạch Sok Xane, Vice President of the VBS Executive Council and representatives of the VBS Executive Committee from 5 provinces.

Distinguished guest at the event included Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Xuân, representative from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs.

At the meeting, representatives from five VBS Executive Committees reviewed Buddhist activities in five localities as well as discussed remaining issues of Buddhist affairs in the localities.
