Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front visits and presents gifts to Khmer people on occasion of Sene Dolta

On occasion of Sene Dolta 2014 of Khmer people, on September 8th, a delegation from the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) led by Mr. Lê Bá Trình, Vice-Chairman of the VFF in collaboration with the Soc Trang province Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee visited and presented gift to Most Venerable Dương Nhơn, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the VBS, Head of Soc Trang provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, Abbot of Prek On Dot pagoda (Can Duoc pagoda, My Xuyen district) and Buddhist followers in the locality.
At the reception, Most Venerable Dương Nhơn briefed about current situation of Buddhist followers in Prek On Dot pagoda in particular and Khmer people in the Soc Trang province in general. Over the past years, together with support from state authorities at all levels, the social infrastructure in Khmer localities has been invested and developed, creating favorable conditions for people to improve their life and raise living standard.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Lê Bá Trình extended best wishes to Most Venerable Dương Nhơn, monks and Khmer people in general, and Buddhist Khmer in Prek On Dot pagoda in particular, on occasion of the traditional Sene Dolta festival and expressed his hope that Most Venerable and Khmer Buddhist dignitaries will continue to promote the solidarity of people in regions and make active contributions to the country development.
