Center for cultural preservation of South Central Highlands inaugurated

Duc Bon A Lan Nha pagoda located in Binh Phuoc province’s Bu Dang district held on January 13 a ceremony for inaugurating a center for cultural preservation.

The center will serve as the place for display and preservation of agricultural products of the South Central Highlands’ ethnic communities.

The event saw the participation of representatives from Binh Phuoc provincial and Bu Dang district authorities and ethnic minority people of Mnong, Rade and Stieng in the locality. 

The ceremony featured many cultural activities such as incense-offering, lunar New Year pole planting, sacred highland-fire burning, inauguration of tradition-rice house, etc…

During the event, Abbot of the pagoda Senior Venerable Thích Đồng Tấn received a title of acknowledge for his efforts and contributions to the social charity work by the Humanitarian and Life Magazine.

On this occasion, Duc Bon A Lan Nha pagoda also presented 300 gift sets to the disadvantaged people in the locality. In the upcoming lunar New Year, the pagoda planned to provide over 1350 gift sets valued at 500 million VND to poor ethnic minority people in the district.
