Celebration of 1010 years of the death of King Lê Đại Hành

Thanh Hoa province People’s Committee held a ceremony to commemorate 1010th  year of the death of national hero King Le Dai Hanh and open Le Hoan festival in 2015.

King Lê Đai Hành (or Lê Hoàn) was born in 941 into a poor family in Trung Lap village of Ai Chau district (Xuan Lap commune, Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province) and was an emperor of Đại Cồ Việt since the 10th century.

At the ceremony, thousands of visitors reviewed patriotic and heroic traditions of the nation as well as the great merit of King Lê Đai Hành through the unique art performances with the theme "King Lê Đại Hành - victories recorded thousands of years”.

Being in the sequence of events of the National Tourism Year 2015, Le Hoan festival took place in three days on April 25-27 with many cultural activities and traditional games.
