Vung Ngan fishing village in Khanh Hoa province’s Nha Trang city organized on July 28 - 30 Cau Ngu fishing festival to pray for bumper fish catches.
The festival featured a boat procession on land and at sea, as well as traditional games, and music and dance performances.
Cau Ngu (also known as Nghinh Ong) festival, annually held from the 15th to 17th of the sixth Lunar month, represents whale worshiping customs of locals in coastal localities in the south-central region.
