For the past years, the board for solidarity of Catholics in Ha Tinh province’s Ky Anh district has encouraged local Catholics to proactively join in patriotic movements launched by local authorities for socio-economic development in the locality.
In response the campaign motivating people to develop a new-style rural development in residential areas, Catholic dignitaries has encouraged parishioners to actively participate in practical activities by voluntarily donating billions of VND, land and working days in building 4,220 m of concrete roads, 2,500 m of drains and 8 km of green, clean and beautiful roads in 2020 by Ky Anh authorities.
In response to the call of local authorities in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, Catholics in the district have contributed nearly 130 million VND and presented 200 meals to medical teams and people in the quarantined areas. In addition, local Catholics raised 880 million VND for sending reliefs to local residents seriously affected by floods.
