Catholics in Dong Nai actively join environment protection

Parishioners of Duyen Lang under Xuan Loc deanery of Xuan Loc diocese in Dong Nai province are currently living in two communes of Nhan Nghia and Long Giao in Cam My district.  

Over the past years, priests of Duyen Lang parish often shared about the importance of the protection of environment surrounding the parish and encouraged local Catholics to raise their awareness on environment protection.

Every year, the parish spends a day with the theme: "Duyen Lang parish active for a green, clean and beautiful environment" in order to clean up roads and punch branches of trees.

At Xuan Loc Cathedral parish, lay Catholics have closely collaborated with local people for environment protection and building a civilized urban area.

Phu Ly parish in Vinh Cuu district is typical in environment protection with the model of solidarity houses with clean hygiene in the locality. The parish has proactively mobilized local Catholics to keep clean environment, and develop the water and drainage system in order to ensure environment protection.

In addition, Catholic parishes in the province have proactively joint in action plans launched for environment preservation including the clean water program, tree plantation in religious worshipping places, cleaning up of the environment, changing habits of local people in daily life, production, livestock, etc .
