For the past years, the board for solidarity of Catholics in the district has encouraged local Catholics to proactively join in patriotic movements launched by local authorities for socio-economic development in the locality.

Responding the patriotic movements by practical activities, the board for solidarity of Catholics has raised funds for presenting gifts to poor people worth of VND 200 million, 30 blankets and 150 wheelchairs to the people with disabilities valued at VND 250 million, and one ton of rice and 10 breeding cows.

So far, 90% Catholic parishes in the district have established education promotion funds for providing and presenting scholarships to pupils with high academic results with the total amount of hundreds of millions VND.

With the motto " a good Catholic is also a good citizen”, Catholic followers in the district actively joint in cultural and sport activities and upheld civilized lifestyles in organizing weddings and funerals, etc.

Catholic followers in the district have also proactively taken part in the emulation movement to build strongly political foundations. Currently, 28 state officials and public servants, a member of the district People’s Council, 40 members of the commune-level People’s Council, 87 Party members and 198 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and social –political organizations in the district are followers of Catholicism.
