Catholic volunteers of Xuan Loc diocese join Covid-19 treatment medical force

Xuan Loc diocese held on August 28 a ceremony to see off the third batch of 160 members volunteering to join the frontline forces against Covid-19 in Dong Nai province.

The event taking place at Thai Hoa parish saw the presence of Priest Vicar General of Xuan Loc Dominic Nguyễn Tuấn Anh, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Quốc Vũ, and several other priests of the diocese.

As reported, the 160 Catholic volunteers include three priests, 10 deacons, 26 seminarians, 59 youth and 62 Catholics who have joint the second voluntary batch and continued to register for another voluntary service in the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in the province.

Speaking at the event, while extending best wishes to Catholic volunteers, Chairman Nguyễn Quốc Vũ took the chance to thank Xuan Loc diocese and its volunteers for their practical contributions to the Covid-19 epidemic prevention work in the province.

By August 28, Xuan Loc diocese had 391 registered volunteers to join the frontline force in treatment of Covid-19 cases in the province, consisting of 16 priests, 10 deacons, 210 clergies and 155 youth.
