Catholic solidarity committee in Hanoi holds 3rd quarter meeting

Hanoi municipal Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics held the 3rd quarter meeting of 2017 on September 27. 

The meeting reviewed the committee’s activities for the 3rd quarter and approved the working program for the 4th quarter, as well as approved plans for reviewing the five-year implementation of patriotic emulation movements amongst Catholic community for the period of 2012-2017 and nominating personnel of the Hanoi municipal Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics for the 7th tenure of 2017-2022.

As reported at the conference, during the 3rd quarter, the city’s Catholic followers actively engaged in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the State and local authorities in order to strengthen the all-nation unity bloc, contributing to maintenance of social order and socio-economic development of Hanoi city. In addition, the district-level committees for solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics successfully reviewed five-year implementation of patriotic emulation movements amongst Catholic community (2012-2017 term) in localities.

The one-day conference unanimously approved the plan for choosing 90 members to the municipal Catholic Solidarity Committee for the 7th tenure of 2017-2020 at its upcoming congress.
