The 7th general conference of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) in Can Tho city was successfully convened on August 8.
The event saw the participation of Priest Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh - Active Chairman cum General Secretary of the Vietnam Catholics’ solidarity committee, Priest Peter Phan Đình Sơn - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Catholics’ solidarity committee cum Chairman of the CSVC in the 6th tenure in Can Tho, and nearly 250 delegates representing Catholics in the city.

The one-day event selected 85 members to the CSVC in Can Tho City for the 7th term (2018-2023) with Priest Peter Phan Đình Sơn re-elected as the committee chairman in the new term.
Local authorities took the chance to present certificates of recommendation to several Catholic groups and individuals for their outstanding contributions in patriotic movements launched in the locality over the past five years.
