Priest Head of My Trung Parish under My Tho Diocese in Tien Giang province’s Cai Be district Peter Nguyễn Ngọc Long led a service of prayers on November 2 on occasion of Catholics’ All Souls Day.
Representatives of local authorities and a large number of Catholics in My Trung Parish attended the event.
According to the Priest, the All Souls Day annually held on November 2 - one of important festivals of the Catholic Church is considered as the “Filial piety” festival. During the festival, Catholics often visit relatives’ graves and conduct prayers for dead ancestors and relatives as expression of respect and honor toward them.
