Catholic dignitaries extend Vesak greetings to VBS

Archbishop of Hanoi Archdiocese Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên and Priest Vice President of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics Anthony Mary Dương Phú Oanh on May 7 visited and extended warm greetings to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), on the occasion of the 2564th Buddha’s birthday.  

Welcoming the Catholic dignitaries at Quan Su pagoda located in the city’s Hoan Kiem district included Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu, Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang, Senior Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm, and Senior Venerable Thích Đức Thiện, Deputy Heads of the VBS’s Central Executive Council.

Vietnam Catholic solidarity committee visits Vietnam Buddhist Sangha

On May 5, Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh city Joseph Nguyễn Năng visited the VBS in the city. During the visit, the Archbishop has conveyed the Message of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue on occasion of Vesak 2020 to all Buddhist followers in the world.
