Catholic commune in Nghe An proactively engage in rural development

The Catholic community in Ky Tan commune in Nghe An province’s Tan Ky district current has 1,020 followers with one deanery, one parish and two sub-parishes.

In response the new rural construction movement, the parish’s executive board in the commune has contributed more than VND 2 billion for making 6.7 km new rural roads in religious areas.

In particular, Priest Ngô Văn Hậu has contributed 550 tons of cement to make concrete roads from Village 3 to Ho Chi Minh road, as well as built new houses for three disadvantaged households in communes of Ky Tan and Ky Son, worth VND 200 million each house.
