10/15/2021

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam (CBCV) held on October 12 the second annual conference online due to the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking at the event from Singapore, Archbishop Marek Zalewski, the Vatican's non-resident Special Envoy to Vietnam, highlighted increased charitable activities implemented by the CBCV even in the previous difficulty period.

During the event, 27 dioceses shared several difficulties over the past time due to restriction of religious practices and charitable activities such as donations of essential supplies, taking care of Covid-19 patients in quarantined areas and field hospitals, offering free meals to frontline forces and poor people, presentations of medicine and daily necessities at home and streets, etc.
