On May 15, 2015, Chairman of the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of Vietnam cum Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh Archdiocese Paul Bùi Văn Đọc sent a condolence letter to the Catholic Church in Nepal on latest earthquake near Kathmandu that left thousands of people dead and many injured.
In the condolence letter, the Chairman expressed the sharing and condolences to the victims and their families. He also prayed for the death to rest in peace.
On this occasion, the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of Vietnam presented relief supplies to the earthquake victims through the Catholic Church’s Caritas network.
