Caritas of Phat Diem diocese has held a charitable program for local people in two parishes of Khoan Du (Lac Thuy district, Hoa Binh province) and Uy Te (Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province).
During the program, 400 local residents including the poor and the elderly from the two localities were given free health checks and medicines regardless of their religious background.
Currently, given supports of Phat Diem diocese of Caritas, Priest John Bosco Đỗ Văn Đoan, head of Uy Te parish helps building four charitable houses for non-Catholic families under difficult circumstances.
