The Caritas of My Tho Diocese held on October 12 a thanksgiving mass when inaugurating a charity nursing home based in Tien Giang province’s Cho Gao district.
The event saw the presence of Bishop of My Tho diocese Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm, Priest General Representative Paul Trần Kỳ Minh, Priest Director of Caritas My Tho James Hà Văn Xung and large numbers of clergymen and clergywomen, sponsors and local Catholics.
According to Priest James Hà Văn Xung, Thanh Binh Nursing Home has been built on an area of 800 square meters, with rest rooms, canteen, gathering place and bathrooms. It is expected to welcome about 40 single and disadvantaged elderly people in Tien Giang and other provinces for free caring undertaken by nuns of the diocese.
