From April 19-20, members of the Committee on Charitable and Social Actions (Caritas) from 10 dioceses in Vietnam’s Northern region attended an exchange conference held in Hai Phong city’s Cat Ba island.
Attending the event included Bishop of Hai Phong Diocese Joseph Vũ Văn Thiện, Bishop Chairman of the Caritas Vietnam Thomas Vũ Đình Hiệu, and Caritas’s officers from Northern dioceses.
Addressing at the conference, Bishop Thomas Vũ Đình Hiệu reminded Caritas’s officers of important issues approved at the annual conference of Caritas Vietnam held in late December 2016, and encouraged participants to raise difficulties and challenges, as well as share experiences and initiatives in social charities in dioceses.
