Caodai religious organizations join efforts in Covid-19 combat

In the new complicated context of Covid-19 pandemic, Caodai organizations, the Minh Su Theravada Buddhist Church and Minh Ly Church have proactively guidedtheir members to strictly observe regulations of the Prime Minister, the Home Affairs Ministry, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Health Ministry and local authorities in preventing the Covid-19 pandemic.

These organizations have issued notifications urging the representative committee in localities and management boards of worshipping places on strengthening prevention measures against Covid-19 pandemic.

In particular, separate notifications by the Ante-Creation Caodai Church dated on June 1, the Caodai Dazzling Bright Church on May 19, the Vietnam Binh Duc Caodai Church issued on May 28, the Verity Caodai Church released on June 6, and the Minh Ly Dao – Tam Tong Mieu Caodai Church issued on May 28 all called for strengthening prevention measures against Covid-19 pandemic in their worshipping places.

For preventing the spread of the pandemic, the Caodai organizations, Minh Su and Minh Ly Faith and Minh Ly Dao – Tam Tong Mieu church have closed belonging religious places, strictly observed 5K recommendations of the health ministry and suspended all religious practices with large gatherings.The Minh Su faith has alsopostponedits general conference 2021.

So far, the Caodai churches, Minh Su and Minh Ly faiths have alsomade practical contributions to the Covid-19 prevention work.

As reported, the Missionary Caodai Church donated 100 million VND, the Minh Ly Dao – Tam Tong Mieu faith supported 50 million VND and the Vietnam Binh Duc Caodai Church handed over 10 million VND to the donation campaign launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front for supporting the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.The Representative Committee of the TayNinhCaodai Church has also visited and presented gifts valued at 46 million VND in total to soldiers in Lo Vo border post located in TayNinh province’s Tan Bien district who are checking against illegal entry for preventing the spread of the pandemic.
