The Ward 6 Caodai parish under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Tra Vinh province’s Tra Vinh city held on May 21 the ground-breaking ceremony for the reconstruction of its Divine Goddess worshipping temple.
Delegates perform groundbreaking ritual
Present at the event included Priest Head of the Caodai Church’s Representative Board in Tra Vinh province Thượng Khánh Thanh, and dignitaries, deacons and members of the parish.
Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Lê Văn Tịnh, representatives from the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and local authorities also attended the ceremony and extended congratulations to the Caodai parish.
As reported, the Divine Goddess worshipping temple of the parish was built in 1957, has deteriorated after a long time of existence, and no longer met the need of religious practices of its members, the parish’s management board has got the approval from local authorities for rebuilding its oratory.
