Binh Phu parish under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Tien Giang province’s Cai Lay district held on August 22 a solemn for inaugurating its new Divine Goddess worshipping temple.
Attending the ceremony included Cardinal President of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church’s Executive Committee Thượng Tám Thanh, Priest Standing Chairman of the Caodai church’s representative committee in the province cum Head of Binh Phu Caodai parish Thái Đều Thanh, and about 1,000 Caodai followers from Tien Giang and neighboring provinces.
Local guests at the event included Chairman of the provincial committee for religious affairs Trần Văn Khuê and representatives from the provincial and Cai Lay district authorities.
According to Priest Head of the parish Thái Đều Thanh, the original temple dedicating to the Divine Goddess in the parish was built in 1947 in Binh Phu commune’s Binh Quoi village in the district. After the expansion of the 1A Highway in 2012, the parish’s management board got the approval from local authorities for relocating and building its new worshipping temple in the commune’s Binh Tinh village.
As reported, the total construction cost of the Divine Goddess worshipping temple is over VND 2.6 billion.
