Huyen Trung Dien Caodai parish under the Ante-Creation Caodai Church located in Kien Giang province’s Go Quao district held on August 29 the general meeting for 2020-2025 tenure.
The event saw the presence of representatives from the Ante–Creation Caodai Church’s Executive Committee and Caodai followers in the parish.
Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Lê Thị Ngọc Vang was amongst guests at the event.
The meeting elected six members to the management board for the 2020 – 2025 tenure with Priest Ngọc Ướt Thanh reselected as the board head, as well as approved a list of four members to attend the upcoming national congress of the Ante-Creation Caodai Church.
As reported at the event, Caodai followers in Huyen Trung Dien parish have proactively engaged in social movements launched by local authorities and charitable activities over the past five years with the total contribution of over VND 20 million.
Huyen Trung Dien parish was established in 1970, belonging to one of six Caodai sects practiced in the province. Currently, Huyen Trung Dien is the only Caodai parish under the Ante-Creation Caodai Church in the province with 328 followers.
