Caodai community in Hanoi convenes 5th congress

Hanoi Caodai Community under the Correction-Path Caodai Church held its 5th general meeting on March 22.

The event was co-chaired by Cardinal Vice Chairman of the Caodai Church Ngọc Phụ Thanh and Bishop Chairman of Hanoi Caodai community Thượng Mai Thanh, and attended by all members of the Caodai community.

Guests at the Caodai gathering included Deputy Director of the Caodai Affairs Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Đinh Quang Tiến, representatives of religious organizations of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Bahai’i and other Caodai sects in Northern Vietnam.

The one-day event reviewed results of religious and social activities of followers of the Correction-Path Caodai Church in Hanoi in the 2012-2017 tenure, as well as performances of the Church’s management board in Hanoi during the last five years. The congress also approved plans of activities for the 5th term and elected members to the management board of Hanoi Caodai community for the 2017-2022 period.

During the congress, the Correction-Path Caodai Church and local authorities of Hai Ba Trung district presented certificates of merits to the management board and outstanding individuals of Hanoi Caodai community for their religious achievements and social contributions recorded during the 4th term.
