Caodai churches continue helping people hard hit by Covid-19 pandemic in localities

An Co Caodai parish under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Tay Ninh province’s Chau Thanh district presented On September 5 86 sets of essential supplies to people facing difficulties due to Covid-19 pandemic in communes of An Co and Phuoc Vinh.

Each presented set of necessities includes rice, cooking oil, soy sauce and salt, and the total support package is worth over 23 million VND.

 

An Co Cao Dai parish currently has 3,000 members, most of whom are doing farming work for their living.

In Ben Tre province, the Ban Chinh (Correction-Path) Caodai Church has made contributions to the "Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund" and "Vaccine Fund" and operated charity kitchens in religious establishments under the Church, as well as donated resources  for charitable activities in Ben Tre province and Ho Chi Minh city. Specifically, the Church has presented 50 tons of rice, 50 tons of fruits and vegetables, thousands of noodle boxes, 2,5000 coconut cakes and over 500 million VND in cash, with the total contributing value of over two billion VND.

 

In Ho Chi Minh city, the Representative Committee of the Correction-Path Caodai Church in the city has mobilized resources from its members for contributing nearly one billion VND to the Vaccine Fund of the Government. Do Thanh parish of the Caodai Church in District 6 run a charity kitchen for offering about 340 meals each day to people in lockdown areas. Up to now, the parish has offered over 10,000 meals to local people. Binh Hoa parish under Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Binh Thanh district has presented relief packs to people in quarantine areas. Tam Thon Hiep Caodai parish in Can Gio district has also sent meals, cakes and vegetables to people in quarantine areas in the city.

A set of essential supplies of the Representative Committee of Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Ho Chi Minh City

 

The Representative Committee of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in the city has launched a program “thousands of relief packs – gratitude and love of the Great Way” for supporting poor people and religious followers. Each relief pack includes rice, noodle, cooking oil, soy sauce, sauce, fruits and vegetables, worth 420,000 VND in total. By the end of August 31, the charity program of the Caodai Representative Committee has presented 300 relief packs to people and religious followers facing difficulties due to the pandemic in the city./.
