A candlelight-up ceremony took place at Con Son-Kiep Bac special national relic site in Hai Duong province on February 18 (14th of the first Lunar month).
This year ceremony aimed to praying for national prosperity, world peace and happy life with 1,000 candles lighted-up in Con Son pagoda.
The ceremony is the typical ritual of Buddhism, usually held in major Buddhist centers which have a “Nine Floors of Lotus Flower” tower.
Con Son pagoda is recognized as the nest place of Truc Lam Zen Buddhism that has the “Nine Floors of Lotus Flower” tower built in the 14th century by the third progenitor of Truc Lam Zen Buddhism Huyền Quang.
