Can Tho city: O Mon Protestant Church holds a ceremony for the appointment of its superintendent

On August 22nd, at O Mon Protestant church (No. 95/1 Chau Van Liem, O Mon dist, Can Tho city) under Vietnam General Confederation of Evangelical Churches (Southern) held a ceremony for the appointment of its superintendent of O Mon Protestant Church. 

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Phạm Viết Trung, Deputy Director of Home Affairs Department, Chairman of Can Tho’s Committee for Religious Affairs and representatives from local authorities of O Mon dist of Can Tho city; Pastor Lê Hoàng Phúc, Member of the Vietnam General Confederation of Evangelical of Churches (Southern); Pastor Lê Hoàng Long, Chairman of the Council of Clergy cum Head of the Protestant Representative Board in Can Tho city, Pastors, Commissioned Pastors, Evangelists and about 400 Protestant followers inside and outside the city.

At the ceremony, the Protestant dignitaries and followers sang hymns, listened to the preaching with the theme “Three necessary things for God’ servants”, and witnessed the proclamation of the decision to appoint Commissioned Pastor Võ Thanh Phán as the Superintendent of O Mon Protestant Church. The New Superintendent expressed his dedication and devotion to the Church’s activities in the time ahead.
