Chairman of the Inspection Commission of the Party Committee for Central Agencies Block (CAB) Nguyễn Thành Nam led a delegation on August 18 to visit the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive committee in Tien Giang province ahead of the Vu Lan festival (on 15th day of the seventh lunar month).
The delegation joint by representatives from the government office, the provincial people’s committee and committee for religious affairs was welcomed by Most Venerable Member of the VBS’s Executive Council cum Chairman of the provincial VBS’s executive committee Thích Huệ Minh.
During the visiting reception taking place in Vinh Trang pagoda, Chairman Nguyễn Thành Nam extended best wishes to Most Venerable Thích Huệ Minh as well as Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in the province on occasion of the upcoming traditional Buddhist Parents Day.
