As reported at the event, the provincial society for Buddhist solidarity has encouraged Buddhist followers to proactively join social movement launched for socio-economic development in the locality. The society also has contributed 7.2 billion VND to social charities.

The general meeting elected 29 members to the Buddhist society’s executive committee for the 2019 – 2024 tenure with Senior Venerable Sơn Ngọc Huynh, reelected as the society Chairman.

On this occasion, local authorities presented certificates of merit to 14 Buddhist groups and 20 individuals for their outstanding contributions in fostering social cohesion and unity in the province.
