The inter-district Society for Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhists of Kien Luong – Ha Tien – Giang Thanh in Kien Giang province convened on November 15 its 5th general conference for the 2019-2024 tenure.
The event taking place in Kien Luong district saw the presence of Most Venerable Danh Đồng, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha chapter in Kien Giang, Buddhist monks and key members of 11 Buddhist pagodas in three districts.
Guest at the event included Chairman of the provincial religious committee Danh Lắm and representatives of the districts’ authorities.

The Buddhist society’s executive board’s members debut at the meeting
The event outlined plans of activities in the term 2019 – 2024, as well as elected 15 members to the Buddhist society’s executive board for the next five years with Most Venerable Trần Phương reelected as the society Chairman.
