The Buddhist school under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Binh Thuan province formally began its new academy year at a ceremony held on September 29.
The ceremony saw the presence of Most Venerable Member of the Central VBS’s Discernment Council Thích Huệ Tánh, Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the Central VBS’s Executive Council Thích Thiện Pháp, Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Minh Nhật, Vice Chairman of the provincial Religious Affairs Committee Phan Tuấn Khanh, and students of the 9th, 10th and 11th courses.
As reported at the event, in 27 years of training, the Buddhist school has enrolled 11 courses. The 11th course beginning this year has 45 enrollees.
During the ceremony, 64 monks and nuns of the 9th course received graduation certificates from the Buddhist school’s management board.
