The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Kon Tum province has collaborated with the local authorities of Kon Plong district in organizing a grand ceremony to pray for peace and prosperity.
The event taking place in Khanh Lam pagoda on March 20 saw the participation of Most Venerable Thích Quảng Xả, Vice President of the VBS’s Central Executive Council cum Chairman of the VBS Executive Committee in Kon Tum, and large numbers of Buddhist dignitaries and followers from provinces of Kon Tum, Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces.
Attending the ceremony also included representative leaders of state authorities of Kon Tum province and Kon Plong district.
During the event, Buddhists and state officials joint together in Buddhist rituals and practices for bringing spiritual uplifting to fallen soldiers and deceased fellow countrymen, as well as fostering country’s peace and people’s happiness and prosperity.
