The Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Chapter in Ha Tinh province’s Hong Linh town held its 3rd congress on Sept. 6.
Attending the event also included Venerable Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Chiếu Tuệ and representatives of local authorities.
The congress selected 15 members to the new-term VBS Executive Board in Hong Linh town for 2016-2021 tenure with Venerable Thích Chánh Thành (Abbot of Thien Tuong and Long Dam pagodas) as the Head of the Board.
On the occasion, Hong Linh town People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to one group and twelve individuals for their outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement for 2012-2016 tenure. The provincial VBS Executive Committee also handed over certificates of merits to 19 outstanding Buddhists.
