Buddhist pagoda in Tay Ninh province presents gift to the poor on occasion of the Buddhist Parents Day Festival

On August 12th, on the occasion of the Buddhist Parents Day Festival, Superior Nun Thích nữ Diệu Nghĩa, Head of Nui Ba pagodas complex in Tay Ninh city’ s held a charitable event to present gifts to the poor in Linh Sơn Phuoc pagoda.
200 gift bags bags included rice, soy sauce, sugar, flour, cooking oil ... and 200,000 VND in cash were given to the poor in Duong Minh Chau district, wards of Ninh Thanh and Ninh Son and communes of Thanh Tan and Phan in Tay Ninh province’city. The total value of the charitable programs worth 90 million VND.
As reported, in the first 6 months of 2016, Nui Ba pagodas complex administered by Superior Nun Thích nữ Diệu Nghĩa contributed over 5.5 billion VND to social and charitable activities.
On this occasion, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Đặng Minh Lũy awarded a certificate of merit to Superior Nun Thích nữ Diệu Nghĩa for her outstanding contribution to the movement for the poor launched in Tay Ninh province for 2000-2015 period./.
