Hoang Phuc pagoda located in Quang Binh province’s Le Thuy district in collaboration with local authorities organized on December 30 a charity program in mountainous communes of Le Thuy district.
Attending the charity program included Senior Venerable Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Chapter in Le Thuy district cum manager of Hoang Phuc pagoda Thích Khải Đạo, representatives from the local authorities, sponsors and Buddhist followers of the pagoda.
During the program, 300 gift boxes (each set containing blanket, noodle and clothes worth over one million VND) were presented to people in three communes of Lam Thuy, Ngan Thuy and Kim Thuy in Le Thuy district.
On the occasion, Hoang Phuc pagoda also presented VND 10 million to relatives of Mr. Hồ Văn Trai for building a new house. Mr. Trai was a policeman of Rao Da village in Ngan Thuy commune and has recently died of serious illness.
