The ceremony saw the presence of Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn, Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Council, Chairman of the provincial People’ Committee Cao Tiến Dũng, dignitaries from VBS chapters in provinces of Dong Nai, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, and about 3,000 Buddhist followers.

As reported at the event, the VBS chapter in the province currently has one million Buddhist followers with 711 Buddhist places of worship and over 5,700 Buddhist monks and nuns.

The 2019 Buddhist ordination will last until November 16 at Tinh Hoi pagoda located in Dong Nai province’s Bien Hoa city.
