Lien Hoa monastery located in Tien Giang province’s Cho Gao district held on January 14 a charity program for poor households in the district.
During the program, the Monastery handed over 80 gift sets (each set containing rice, noodle, soy sauce, sugar, cooking oil and cash, worth VND 600,000 per set) to disadvantaged families in Cho Gao district.
In addition, the Monastery also provided eight wheelchairs to children with disabilities in the locality. The total value of the charity program was over VND 58 million which was raised by Nun Abbess of Lien Hoa monastery Thích nữ Trí Nhẫn amongst donors for supporting poor locals on occasion of the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year 2018.
