Buddhist executive committee in Quang Nam presents gifts to disadvantaged people

A delegation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Quang Nam province extended on June 9 charity visits to disadvantaged people in the province’s Nam Giang district.  

The delegation was led by Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS’s executive committee in the province Thích Thiện Thành, and joint by members of the provincial Buddhist’s executive committee, sponsors and lay Buddhists.

During the visit, the delegation presented 200 gift sets, each containing necessities and cash valued at 500 thousand VND in total to Agent Orange victims, people with disabilities and poor people in Ta Bhing, Ca Dy communes and Thanh My town of the district.

Nam Giang is one of the mountainous districts of Quang Nam province and borders with Laos with most residents being ethnic minority people.
