Attending the ceremony included Seniour Venerable Thích Đức Thiện, General Secretary of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Central Executive Council and Abbot of Phat Tich pagoda, and over 300 participating youth.

The Buddhist course, which runs until July 5, aimed to provide opportunities for youth to learn about basic Buddhist teachings and values, as well as essential life skills. Activities of the course also include sports and games for promoting exchanges and friendship amongst the participating youth.

Speaking at the ceremony, Seniour Venerable Thích Đức Thiện encouraged the youth to upheld familial piety and promote love-sharing. He also reminded the parents of their responsibility in raising and educating their children by spending more time with them and creating supportive conditions for their expression and growth.
