Buddhist chapter in Tien Giang presents charitable houses to local disadvantaged women

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s sub-committee for nun affairs in Tien Giang province in collaboration with the VBS’s executive board in the province’s Cai Lay district presented on October 18-19 several charity houses to families to disadvantaged women in the locality.

During the charity program held on the occasion of the Vietnamese Women’s Day, five charitable houses were formally handed over to families of disadvantaged women in Cai Lay district’s Tan Binh commune and one house for a household in My Tho city’s Phuoc Thanh commune. Additionally, many household items were also presented to the six families.

As reported, the total construction cost of the six houses of VND 180 million has been raised by the Buddhist sub-committee and executive board.
