The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee held on January 22 a meeting to review its performances 2018 and set out working plans for 2019.
As reported at the meeting, the executive committee of the VBS Chapter in Dong Thap province has recorded remarkable results in Buddhist affairs and social activities for the past year. In 2018, the Buddhist executive committee in the province raised approximately VND 37 billion for supporting the poor.
On the occasion, the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee presented certificates of merit to Buddhist groups and individuals for their outstanding contributions in Buddhist affairs last year.
On the same day, the provincial VBS’s executive committee presented 200 gift sets, valued at VND 70 million, to poor households Sa Dec city.
