Buddhism in Lang Son province presents gifts to pupils in remote areas

On the occasion of new school year, the Executive Board of the Lang Son province’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in collaboration with the Lang Son Province’s Vietnam Fatherland Front presented gifts to pupils at Vinh Tien commune’s boarding school, Trang Dinh district, Lang Son province.

Vinh Tien is one of remote communes 40km from That Khe town Trang Dinh district, and the road to the commune is very rough to travel. With support and assistance of local authorities, some boarding classrooms were built, in order to improve educational conditions for pupils.

In a ceremony for inauguration and hand over of the boarding classrooms, on behalf of the Executive Board of Lang Son province’s VBS, Venerable Thích Quảng Truyền, member of the Executive Council of the VBS, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Board of Lang Son province’s VBS presented 20 blankets and 100 towels and other gifts to support pupils in the upcoming winter.
