On Sept. 25, Binh Dinh provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a meeting with 180 delegates, including 130 typical religious dignitaries in the locality.
Binh Dinh province is home to over 173,000 religious followers, accounting for about 11,44% of the local population with about 3,000 dignitaries, 2,200 deacons and 504 religious establishments.
It’s reported that, over the past year, under the motto “better religious and secular life”, local dignitaries, deacons have well implemented the State’s policies and laws on religion, and actively participated in patriotic movements and local campaigns for making practical contributions to the cause of building and defending the country.
In addition, there have been many good models and practices implemented by religious organizations for building socio-economic development and ensuring public order and securing in the locality, such as the model “community without crime and social evils” successfully carried out by parishes of Cay Roi, Dai Binh… has been maintained and expanded, contributing to uphold political security, social order and safety in residential areas.
