Nhuan Phu Tan parish under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in southern province of Ben Tre inaugurated its Mother Buddha worshipping temple at a ceremony held in April 12.
The ceremony was held in Mo Cay Bac district with the participation of Ben Tre provincial Caodai Executive Committee Chairman Ngọc Gắt Thanh, local authorities’ representatives and about 500 Caodai followers from 28 Tay Ninh Caodai parishes in the province.
The inter-commune Nhuan Phu Tan – Khanh Thanh Caodai parish was established in 1947 and its first temple for worshipping the Mother Buddha was erected in 1973 by temporary materials.
The new temple replacing the original, degraded one with a Church’s designed model was initiated in 2011.
