On January 10, a ceremony was held in Di Da (Amithaba) pagoda located in Ben Tre’s Mo Cay Nam district for official announcement of the newly-appointed abbess of the pagoda.
Attending the ceremony were Most Venerable Chairman of the Mo Cay Nam district Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board Thích Viên Mãn, monks, nuns, heads of pagodas, monasteries and Buddhists inside and outside the province.
Representatives from the local authorities also joint the ceremony.
As announced at the ceremony, Nun Thích nữ Huệ Ngọc has officially been appointed as Abbess of Di Da pagoda. During the event, she expressed his dedication and devotion to repay four debts of gratitude and perform her roles in accordance with VBS’s Charter, regulations and the State’s laws.
