On November 26, the Correction-Path Caodai Church organized its 90th annual meeting at Ben Tre Holy See (No. 100 Truong Dinh, ward 6, Ben Tre city, Ben Tre province).
Attending the meeting included Cardinal from the Church’s High Council Thái Mạnh Thanh, Principal Archbishop Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Church Nguyễn Văn Tấn, Principal Archbishop Vice-Chairwoman Hương Học and 295 delegates from the Church’s all 190 parishes in 26 provinces and cities in the country.
Local guests at the conference included representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The meeting aimed to review results of religious activities in 90th religious years and mapped out the Church’s working plan in 91st religious years. It’s reported that, during the year, 60,000 Caodai dignitaries and followers attended the doctrinal classes; there were 1,017 new converts; the Church inaugurated 11 monasteries and religious worshipping places; over VND 11 billion was spent on charities activities such as presenting gifts to the poor, provision of health care, free health checks.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Hồng Quân spoke highly of achievements obtained by the Church over the past year. He also praised Caodai dignitaries, deacons and followers for actively participating in the movements launched by local authorities and promoting fine traditions for local social-economic development and prosperity in the country.
