Linh Buu Pagoda in Tien Giang province’s Tan Phu Dong district solemnly inaugurated its bell tower and Buddhist relics area at a ceremony held on May 12.
The ceremony saw the attendance of Most Venerable Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Committee for Buddhist Guidance Thích Thanh Hùng, Most Venerable Abbott of Linh Buu Pagoda Thích Thiện Nhẫn, and large numbers of monks, nuns and followers in the locality. Chairwoman of Tien Giang provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Thị Mai and local authorities’ representatives also joint the event.
As reported, Linh Buu Pagoda was built more than 130 years ago but without the bell tower. In 2016, local authorities approved for the pagoda to build the bell tower and a Buddhist relics area, which have been completed at the construction cost of over VND 1.2 billion.
