The event was opened at the mosque of Bac Binh district’s Phan Hoa commune, and concluded at the mosque of the district’s Phan Thanh commune.

During the festival, Bani Islamic dignitaries and followers gathered to recite religious teachings and pray for peace, happiness and successful crops for the New Year. Suk Yeng festival is also the time for exchanges and discussion of communal issues relating on traditional customs of the community including the implementation of cultural life in the organization of wedding, funeral and communal festivals.

Imam Xích Dư representing Bani Islamic dignitaries in the locality said that, religious teachings of the Bani Islamic community remind Bani Muslims to keep civilized lifestyles, respect the law and stay away from evils, including refrain from alcohol intake.
