Ba Ria Vung Tau province reviews patriotic emulation movements in religious community 2015

On January 8, Ba Ria Vung Tau provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) held a conference to review patriotic emulation movements 2015 and launch emulation movements in religious organizations 2016.
Attending the event were Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyễn Thị Yến, Chairman of the provincial VFF Bùi Thanh Nghĩa and religious dignitaries in the locality.
As reported at the conference, throughout the years, local religious followers actively participated in the movements launched by local authorities, especially movements for building cultural lifestyles in residential areas and raising fund for the poor. They also proactively joined in social and charitable activities, such as provision of support to the poor and people in difficult situations, taking care of orphans, the elderly and disabled people with a total value of nearly 78 VND billion.
At the conference, Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Yến praised local religious followers for their contributions over the past year and encouraged them to make further practical support to the socio-economic development in the locality.
On this occasion, the Central committee VFF presented the commemorative medal “For the cause of great national unity" to five individuals; the provincial VFF presented certificates of merit to five collectives and 10 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement 2015.
