Ba Ria – Vung Tau provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee held on August 18 a closing ceremony for the summer retreat course 2016 (B.E. 2560) at Dai Tong Lam Buddhist School in the province’s Tan Thanh district.
The event saw the participation of Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Quảng Hiển, nearly 600 Buddhist monks and nuns in the province.
Local authorities’ representatives attending the ceremony included Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Huỳnh Sơn Tuấn.
As reported at the ceremony, this year, the provincial VBS Executive Committee held the summer retreat course from May 18 to August 10, 2016 at Dai Tong Lam Buddhist School and Thien Hoa Nunery for 279 monks and 262 nuns.
